DISCIPLESHIP GROUP FAQ
What is a Discipleship Group?
Discipleship Groups at Central are designed to help you mature in your relationship with Jesus while becoming a doer of the word. It's also a place for you to find encouragement, care and accountability as you serve one another and develop your spiritual gifts. Our ultimate goal for you is to become a disciple of Jesus who, in turn, makes disciples.
Why should I join a Discipleship Group?
- To learn how to follow Jesus in your everyday life.
- To be known, encouraged and challenged.
- To grow in your knowledge of scripture and in prayer.
- To serve together and serve on mission with fellow believers.
What should I expect at a Discipleship Group?
- Groups meet weekly or bi-weekly in homes or at the church
- Meetings typically last around 90 minutes
- Prayer for needs of the group and others
- Discussion of the weekly Bible reading or topic. Unless otherwise stated below or by the leader, Discipleship Groups will be going through the book of Acts this winter.
- Ways you will apply what you have learned to your everyday life will be discussed
Who can join a Discipleship Group?
- Anyone, but you can also look below for one designed specifically for men, women or life stage
- You can join a Discipleship Group at any time
- You can also leave a Discipleship Group at any time to go to a Transformation Group or Class. Once that Transformation Group or Class has ended you are welcome to rejoin your Discipleship Group.
Do you offer other types of Groups?
Yes! Along with Discipleship Groups we also offer:
- Transformation Groups - A Transformation Group meets for a limited period of time and is designed to help you overcome specific challenges (i.e. traumas, loss, etc.) in your life by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Classes - A Class meets only for a limited amount of time and covers a single topic. These groups allow you to grow in your walk with the Lord in a more traditional teaching setting.

Financial Peace University will return for the
Fall 2026 session
FPU is the nine-week class that teaches you step by step how to pay off debt fast and build wealth for your future. A stuffy financial class? Not here. FPU is full of easy-to-understand lessons and real-life examples of people just like you who have taken control of their money. And the best part? You’ll experience the class with a group of people who will encourage you and hold you accountable every step of the way.
A Time To Heal Beyond Survival

This confidential small group ministry runs for 7 weeks and helps survivors of various traumas to heal forward. Whether you’re dealing with anger, substance abuse, depression, feelings of hopelessness or other emotions, we’re here to provide practical and spiritual tools to help you heal forward and walk in freedom. Each session begins at 6:30pm.

Griefshare
In-Person & Online
In Person starts August 8 @ 9:30am
Online starts August 10 @ 6:30pm
GriefShare is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping —and gain solid support each step of the way. Cost: $20 (only if workbook needed) Register anytime throughout the session.

FOUNDATIONS OF FAITH
Wednesdays @ 7:00pm
This is a 12-part Bible study designed to help you stand firm and grow strong in your Christian walk. Using The Purple Book as a guide, you will gain a solid understanding of the Bible and build a strong foundation of faith that no storm in life can demolish. This is a great study for those new to the faith or those looking to refresh their faith.

12 DARING WOMEN OF THE BIBLE

This 12-session Bible study is designed especially for women seeking to grow deeper in their faith and live with boldness and purpose. Through the stories of 12 women in Scripture, you will explore how God works through real-life struggles—such as fear, waiting, loss, and uncertainty—to accomplish His plans.
With relatable teaching and meaningful discussion, this study encourages you to embrace your identity in Christ, trust God in every season, and step forward in courageous faith.

BASIC TRAINING FOR THE PROPHETIC MINISTRY
