The Joy Bible Fellowship class will be doing an in depth study in the Book of Acts. Come and join us as we walk with the early church through its beginning challenges and many victories. In this New Testament historical account we will see how the Lord Jesus continues His ministry through the Apostles and the early believers. It is in this book that the Holy Spirit and His ministry gifts are put on display for all to see. As the early church grows and increases in number we will be given insight as to how the Spirit expects us to handle the challenges and fulfill the great commission that the Lord Jesus gave us before He ascended to heaven. There is no Amen at the end of the book. I believe that is because the Lord Jesus desires the Acts of Holy Spirit to continue on today in the current church.

This study will include an overview of the three categories of spiritual gifts found in Scripture. These spiritual gifts include the Motivational Gifts, Ministry Gifts, and Manifestation Gifts. We will discuss how spiritual gifts differ from the fruit of the Spirit, and look at WHO is given spiritual gifts, WHEN a Christian receives spiritual gifts, WHERE in Scripture spiritual gifts are discussed, HOW spiritual gifts influence the body of Christ, and WHY God gives spiritual gifts. After an overview of spiritual gifts, we will explore the category of Motivational Gifts, looking at each gift individually, and in detail, and exploring how these spiritual gifts apply to each individual practically. Future classes will explore the Manifestation gifts and Ministry gifts in further detail.

Get ready to beat the heat this summer by joining us as we share refreshments and study:
- Breathe by Priscilla Shirer - One of the great challenges among women is taking time to cease from all the activities and just breathe. We can be in bondage to busyness. In the Old Testament, the Sabbath was given to the Israelites as a gift, and it is still a gift for us today. If you are weary, worn out and exhausted, the concept of the Sabbath will change your life.
- What the Women Saw by Sadie Robertson Huff - Jesus was surrounded by both men and women during his ministry on earth. He saw, valued, and cared for women, and he still does today. Through this study, you will discover who Jesus is through the unique perspective of Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene and others. You will learn from their faith and failures and be reminded that Jesus cared for and valued the women he was surrounded by.

My heart has always been for people to know God and develop a strong relationship with Him. Groups allow you to take what you hear on a Sunday morning and learn how to apply it to your life the rest of the week. I love to see people grow in the Lord and then begin to teach others around them. I encourage everyone to take part in a Group at Central, I know you will be blessed by doing so.
